Our history

Incorporated as a private limited liability company in 1980, Tripple Gee & Company Plc commenced operations as a small print service catering to commercial office stationery needs firstly and subsequently to specialised food and pharmaceutical packaging requirements.

From a garage in Yaba in the then suburbs of Lagos working with the most up to date machines and a workforce of 3, the team built a client base spanning multiple industries until 1981 when it moved to bigger premises in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State and continued to deliver quality products and services to small, medium and large businesses.

In 1984, Tripple Gee pioneered better production methods for the Unilever flagship tea brand (Lipton tea tags) which helped secure its first contract with multinational Lever Brothers. Opportunities in the Nigerian secure cheque printing market birthed the diversification of Tripple Gee’s print operations in 1989 influenced by the prevailing national drive for self-sufficiency in the print products and services sector. Tripple Gee again was one of the pioneering indigenous security printers and the company has continued over the years to build on its pioneering heritage through research and development in the science of print security and most recently print data security.

In 1984 the company moved to its current site in Abule Oshun area of Lagos State occupying 3000sqm of factory and office space dedicated to two print production offerings (Secure Prints & Packaging/Flexibles) with a workforce of  100 personnel.

Strong growth following increased sales and the founder’s strategy to increase capacity culminated in Tripple Gee going public In 1991, listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange where it has performed exemplarily since, delivering value to both its customers and its shareholders and in the process bagging prestigious Award for Excellence in Service given by the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1996.

The Company’s Vision is to be the preferred and ‘go to’ Security Print and Label Services Provider in Nigeria and regionally.
